Bangor police are investigating an aggravated assault that happened early Sunday in the city’s downtown.

Officers were called to a home on Court Street at approximately 5:31 a.m. after a report of someone being injured there, according to a news release from department spokesperson Katy England. Police provided no details on the victim’s condition, potential suspects or the circumstances of the attack.

There is no threat to the public, the department said. Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call Bangor police at (207) 947-7384, extension 5709.
