A New York man was arrested Friday for allegedly trafficking drugs out of an Airbnb in Portland.

Raymond Teran, 51, of Bronx, New York, has been charged with aggravated drug trafficking, drug trafficking, importing illegal drugs and falsifying physical evidence, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Teran was allegedly trafficking cocaine and crack cocaine out of an Airbnb on Emery Street, where police surveilled him Friday.

During a search of the Airbnb, police found more than a pound of cocaine, nearly half an ounce of crack cocaine, more than $38,000 in suspected drug proceeds and evidence of illegal drug importing and sales, the MDEA said Monday.

The drugs were worth an estimated $22,000.

Teran was taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was being held on $50,000 bail. He was scheduled to make his initial appearance in court on those charges Monday.

The investigation is ongoing.
