Northern Light Health said it will receive nearly $5 million under Maine’s Rural Health Transformation Program.

The funds will be used to upgrade the electronic medical records system at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft hospital to fully integrate it with the wider system since it joined it six years ago.

Rural Health Transformation Funds come from a federal program under President Donald Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill that invests $50 billion in rural hospitals over five years, but slashes state Medicaid budgets by hundreds of billions over the next decade.
