Bangor’s public bus system will offer free rides on Election Day.
That includes all Community Connector routes across the system, including Hampden, Veazie, Orono, Old Town and Brewer, as well as the paratransit service, according to the city.
The Nov. 3 election features a number of high-profile races, including for U.S. Senate, the 2nd Congressional District and governor, as well as the entire Legislature, the largest slate of Bangor City Council candidates in more than four decades and a referendum allowing the Penobscot County Jail to move out of Bangor.
Plus, town and city council races will shape the coming years in Brewer, Old Town and Orono.
