ELLSWORTH — Frenchman Bay Conservancy, in partnership with the Ellsworth Public Library and Heart of Ellsworth, invites the community to celebrate the 8th annual Pumpkin Hike along the Ellsworth Riverwalk Trail from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
This free, family-friendly event will transform the Riverwalk into a glowing display of jack-o’-lanterns carved by community members. Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy an evening walk along the illuminated trail, celebrate the Halloween season, and vote for their favorite pumpkin creations. Costumes and festive attire are encouraged.
The pumpkins will remain on display through Sunday, Nov. 1, giving residents and visitors additional opportunities to experience the trail throughout Halloween weekend.
Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite pumpkins, with winners announced during the first week of November and prizes generously donated by local Ellsworth businesses.
The Pumpkin Hike is free and open to the public, with no registration required to attend. Visitors should park at the Ellsworth City Hall parking lot and walk to the trail. Accessible parking will be available at the Ellsworth Public Library.
