PORTLAND — Kurt Garascia, senior investment officer VP, and Janice de Lima, CRA officer VP, were happy to represent Norway Savings Bank in surprising Maddie Taylor, philanthropy officer at Preble Street, with a $5,000 “Holiday Helping Hands” donation to benefit the organization. NSB has contributed over $30,000 to the benevolent organization in recent years.

NSB is delivering surprise checks to many local nonprofits during the month in gratitude for their work and impact.

The Portland-based Preble Street is dedicated to empowering people experiencing problems with hunger, housing, and homelessness through a variety of programs that address urgent needs and create lasting solutions. The organization also operates two soup kitchens serving over a million meals to people in need each year.

Preble Street depends on volunteers and financial support to continue its benevolent mission. To learn more about how you can help the cause by volunteering, donating, or otherwise taking action, visit www.preblestreet.org/you-can-help.
