A drone helped rangers locate a burning tractor-trailer in a remote unorganized territory in Washington County Tuesday morning, according to the Maine Forest Service.

The fire was reported in T19 MD BPP.

Rangers Ryan Maker and Aaron Currier responded to the report but limited cell service made the fire difficult to find. Maker used a drone to find the blaze, and quick action by rangers and firefighters prevented the fire from spreading, officials said in a Facebook post.

The tractor-trailer was a total loss.
