Maine is recalling a variety of cannabis flower after an audit found unsafe levels of mold and yeast.
That recall targets the strain “Drip Burger” produced by Green Trap, according to the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy.
A recent audit test found unsafe mold and yeast levels. Inhaling that can cause sinus issues, allergies, headaches, dizziness and fatigue, the office said Tuesday.
The flower was sold at stores in Bangor, Berwick, Bethel, Eliot, Lebanon, Oxford and Rockland.
Anyone who purchased an eighth- or half-ounce package of Drip Burger with the batch number DRPBRG032626 between April 29 and June 8 should dispose of it or return it to the location where they purchased it.
The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy issued its first recreational cannabis recall in September 2024 for pre-roll strains called GG-4 and Portal and the pre-roll and cannabis flower strain Jelly Donutz from the company Cannabis Cured. A second recall targeted pre-ground cannabis flower, pre-rolls and blunts of the strain Frosted Cookies from Nova Farms. That recall was expanded to include more of Nova Farms’ pre-ground cannabis flower, pre-rolls and blunts of the Frosted Cookies strain, as well as pre-ground flower of the Frozay strain. A third recall was issued for a strain of cannabis flower called The Soap produced by Leb City Greeneries. Last December, the office issued a recall for moldy pre-rolled cannabis from NorCO Outdoor Cannabis.
This is the sixth recall issued for recreational cannabis in Maine and the first this year.
