A driver died in Saco on Thursday after colliding with a dump truck.
The driver was traveling south on Portland Road in a gray 2021 Ford Explorer about 3 p.m. when they crossed the center line, near Waterfall Drive, and hit a black 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, according to the Saco Police Department.
The Ford continued south on the northbound side of the road for about 950 feet before colliding with a blue 2004 Volvo dump truck.
The Ford’s driver, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, died at the scene, Saco police said Thursday night.
The crash remains under investigation.
