It seems to me that we have a government of the wealthy, for the wealthy and by the wealthy.
Two-thirds of our supreme court have essentially been put in place by billionaires. They have overturned Roe v. Wade, the Humphrey’s executor decision (which placed limits on presidential authority) and the Voting Rights Act, while simultaneously giving the president broad immunity.
Investment firms are buying up housing and contributing to homelessness.
This is supposed to be the 250th anniversary of American democracy, but I’m afraid it might actually be our funeral. I strongly urge everyone to vote your conscience if you are still able to in November.
