I served 16 years in the Maine Legislature: four terms in the House, four in the Senate, including my last two as chair of the Transportation Committee. In that time, I learned what separates a real public servant from someone just passing through Augusta. I believe Susan Collins is the real thing.
Too many people get elected and then disappear. You never hear from them again until the next campaign. That’s not Susan. In 30 years in the U.S. Senate, she has not missed a single vote. Think about that: Three decades of showing up, every single time. Consistency like that isn’t an accident. It’s a commitment to the people who sent her to Washington.
As chair of the Appropriations Committee, Susan has delivered $1.5 billion in funding for projects across every county in this state, from York to Aroostook. That’s not politics, that’s results, and it’s proof she represents all of Maine, not just the parts that are easy to reach.
I’ve watched Maine politics for decades, and I’ll tell you something else: the polls don’t always get it right. In 2020, most polls had Susan down by at least six points. She won by nine. Pollsters don’t see what’s happening on the ground, the people whose lives have been made better by her work.
I spent my career in the state Legislature fighting for hard-working Mainers. Susan Collins has built her career doing the same in Washington. Whether you consider yourself a Republican, an unaffiliated voter, or a Democrat, I urge you to vote for Susan Collins.
