The Maine Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club invites visitors to join in a fun-filled event at Little Lyford Lodge on Saturday, Aug. 6. The day will feature outdoor walks, hikes, paddles on the pond, tours of the facility, a brown-bag lunch, and refreshments.

Visitors are welcome to bring bikes appropriate for dirt roads & trails. Kayaks and canoes will be provided as well as PFDs. Both hikes and easy walks will be offered. You may choose to walk around the nearby pond on the “Pond Loop” trail, or explore the interactive stations along Nation’s Nature Trail. The Laurie’s Ledge and Indian Mountain trail features spectacular views.

For more than 140 years, Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins has provided visitors an authentic outdoor experience in the Moosehead Lake region offering a spectacular location on 100,000 acres of forestland permanently conserved by AMC.
