Seed to Seed Workshop Series
April 26 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$120 – $220
A Workshop Series guiding Maine gardeners and homesteaders through growing good seed for themselves and their communities.
Workshops will take place online on the last Tuesday of each month, April – October. In addition, the group will gather three times in person. (These gatherings are tentatively scheduled for July, September and October, dates TBA.)
This workshop series is being offered on a sliding scale. Suggested pricing is $200 ($160 for MOFGA members.)
Please join us for the Seed to Seed cycle! We will follow our favorite vegetables through their reproductive cycles, learning that seed saving is as much about growing healthy plants as it is about growing our awareness of those plants.
From planning your garden for seed saving, to seed extraction/processing, to conceptualizing selection & stewardship work, you will be guided by experienced Maine seed people who will share their successes and mistakes. We will meet monthly throughout the 2022 growing & harvest season, creating a continuum of class community and season-long support. Workshop content will be adjusted to accommodate the interests and projects of participants. Led by seed saver and grower Heron Breen, with guest Maine seed experts throughout the season.
Price includes access to all Zoom calls (or recordings, if you’re unavailable), access to the three in person gatherings, and additional resources.
