Veterans Art Show: Proudly She Served
This Memorial Day weekend, The Peace Gallery located at 112 Main Street in Damariscotta, Maine celebrates its one-year anniversary with the grand opening of its summer exhibition, “Proudly She Served” on Friday, May 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. This kick-off to the summer season features the artwork of five women veterans, showcasing their dynamic work along with work by other newly featured veteran artists. The show will run Memorial Day through October. The grand opening will also serve as the Gallery’s Spring Fundraiser.
More than 5,000 people visited the Gallery for last year’s World War II retrospective. Since its opening, an additional 2,000 people have frequented the Gallery space for discussions, classes, workshops, coffee houses and more.

Classes are offered to the entire community, with financial support offered to any veteran interested in attending.
