In the 18th century, picturesque Wiscasset had a prolific ship-building industry, now long gone, along the shores of the tidal Sheepscot River. But those emblems of wealth – the well-preserved, handsome Federal-style homes – are why Wiscasset is known as “the prettiest village in Maine.”

Tickets are $30 each or $25 each for groups of 7 or larger. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour, July 9, at Wiscasset’s Recreational Pier, 1 Water St. (bathrooms nearby).
