The present tax burdens are hurting our oldest citizens and driving them out of their homes. Maine is one of the highest taxed states, and this is forcing small companies to either close their doors or move out of state. Lowering property taxes state wide would be a start. Stop taxing Social Security. Reduce payroll taxes.
