ABBOT – Mary E. Tibbetts and Peter J. Nicholas Jr. of Abbot are pleased to announce their engagement. Mary is the daughter of Jean and Rodney Tibbetts of Dover-Foxcroft and Peter is the son of Holly and Jim Nicholas of Dexter. Mary is a 2003 graduate of Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft and will graduate in 2009 from Eastern Maine Community College. She is employed as an accounting specialist at Puritan Medical Products in Guilford. Peter is a 2000 graduate of Dexter Regional High School and a 2002 graduate of Eastern Maine Community College. He is employed as a machinist at General Electric in Bangor. The couple is planning a June 2009 wedding.
