BANGOR, Maine (AP) — Sen. Susan Collins’ campaign hits the road on a bus tour that will take her across all parts of Maine in the weeks ahead.

The Republican senator’s bus tour kicks off in Bangor on Monday, the same day the Democratic National Convention gets under way in Denver.

After departing Bangor, the bus on Monday makes stops in Old Town, Medway and Oakfield before ending up the Smith & Wesson plant in Houlton. Along the way, Collins will be writing blogs that will appear on her campaign Web site.

Collins is running against Democratic challenger Tom Allen in November’s election.
