BERNADETTE C. OUELLETTE MADAWASKA – Bernadette C. Ouellette, 74, died Aug. 24, 2008, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born July 24, 1934, in St. David, the daughter of Josephel and Aldia (Lavertu) Cote. Bernadette was a member of Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her yearly travels to their winter home in St. Petersburg, Fla. She crocheted many lovely items to give to family and friends and was an avid card and game player. Amongst her favorite was Soduku, in which she excelled. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Ouellette of Madawaska; three sons and their wives, Carl and Karen Thibeault of Madawaska, Don and Marge Thibeault of Wiscassett and Mark and Suzanne Thibeault of Frenchville; two daughters, Joyce Gendreau of Presque Isle and Elaine and Ricky Pelletier, all of Madawaska; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandkids; three brothers, Reginald Cote of California, Lionel and Lucille Cote of Connecticut and Gilman and Nicole Cote of St. David; three sisters, Juliette and Alex Kucia of Connecticut, Lorraine Talbot of Madawaska and Omerine and Harold Cote of St. Jacques, New Brunswick; two stepchildren, Mark and wife, Cindie Ouellette, and Tina and her husband, Tony Kowalski. She was predeceased by one great-grandson, Evan Carrier; and two sisters, Normande and Bella. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at St. David Church, where visitation will be held 8-9 p.m. For those who desire, donations may be made to Edgar J.
