ELEANOR M. FOSS GOULDSBORO – Eleanor M. Foss, 87, wife of the late Walter Moore Sr., who died Dec. 27, 1963, and Elliott Foss, who died Sept. 18, 1999, died Aug. 21, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Gouldsboro, the daughter of Harold and Henrietta (Tracy) Young. She was a lifetime member of Gouldsboro Methodist Church, where she taught Sun-day school. She enjoyed long rides, bird watching, reading her Bible, sewing, knitting, word searches, playing games, afternoon coffee on Sundays and especially spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Ethridge of Goose Creek, S.C.; two sons, Wayne Moore Sr. and his wife, Linda, of Gouldsboro and Walter L. Moore Jr. and his wife, Phyllis, of Gouldsboro; several grandchildren, including Gary Moore and his wife, Patricia, Tammy Tong and her husband, Andy, John and Anthony Eth-ridge, Patti Moore-Tinker and her husband, Mark, Wayne Moore Jr. and his wife, Amy and Wally Moore and his fianc?e, Nichole Putnam; many great-grandchildren, including Rachael, Miranda, Amber, Dustin, Matt, Natalie, MacKenzie, Alisha, Casey, Taya, Jayda and Jenna; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Brayden. She is also survived by one brother, Tracy Young and his wife, Frances, of Gouldsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Allen and Harold; and a dear friend, Jan Brady. A service of remembrance will be celebrated on her birth-day, 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Gouldsboro United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott D. Nurse Sr. officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the ser-vice Monday at Gouldsboro Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Interment will be at West Bay Cemetery, Gouldsboro.
