NATALIE JUNE DUNBAR COREA – Natalie June (Colwell) Dunbar, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility after an extended illness. She was born March 22, 1928, the daughter of Leroy and Vivian Colwell, and lived her whole life in Corea. Nat attended schools in Corea and Winter Harbor. She was employed by Stinson Canning Co., Prospect Harbor, for more than 40 years. Nat was a member of Corea Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Seaside Grange No. 567. Nat was a marvelous cook and she entertained many friends, neighbors and family members throughout the years. She always had an assortment of baked goods prepared – pies, cookies or cake to share with her company. Halloween was one of her favorite holidays, sometimes, dressed up as a witch, she would give out bags of candy to the children and homemade fudge to their parents. Also, throughout the years, Nat was a caregiver to her siblings. She provided them with love, support, a home cooked meal and transportation when needed. Nat took pride in her four grandchildren and their successes. She attended many school functions, sports events and birthday parties. Natalie was predeceased by her parents; and her brothers, Gilbert, Donald, Byron and Larry Colwell; and a sister, Thelma Duffy. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Dunbar Jr.; two sons, Raymond Dunbar III and his wife, Linda, of Corea and Gregory Dunbar and his wife, Catherine, of Prospect Harbor; four grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Casey and Tyler Dunbar; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of her caregivers. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at Corea Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge. www.bragdonkelley.com
