LORINE P. EASTMAN PARLIN PRESQUE ISLE – Lorine P. (Eastman) Parlin, 76, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at a Mars Hill health care facility. She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Garfield Plantation, the daughter of Perley I. Sr. and Flora M. (Libby) Eastman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she was always giving of herself to others. She worked at Valshing Potato processing plant in Easton and Aroostook Shoe Co., Presque Isle. She is survived by her husband, Leighton Parlin of Presque Isle; two sons, Danny and Robert of Presque Isle; four daughters, Betty Byrum and her husband, William, of Middletown, Ohio, Dora Hill and her husband, Johnnie, of Estill Springs, Tenn., Barb Farnham and her husband, Stephen, of Mapleton, and Glenda Wright and her fiance, Donald Chapman, of Caribou; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Perley Eastman Jr.; two sisters, Filene Stevens and Gloria Russell, all of Garfield Plantation; several stepchildren and several stepgrandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant son, Rodney Wright; a brother, Clyde Eastman; and a sister, Evelyn “Molly” Mountain. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating.
