TOPSFIELD – Roger N. McLellan, 85, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, with his family by his side at Calais Regional Hospital. Roger was born May 25, 1923, in Topsfield, son of the late Arthur and Hazel (Noyes) McLellan. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. Roger was employed as a truck driver for various companies throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and spending time with his family. Surviving are nine children, Roger L. “Roddie” McLellan and his wife, Claudia, of Merrill, Ronda L. “Ronnie” Daggett and her husband, Robert, of Falmouth, Connie L. McLellan of Sinclair, Cheryl L. “Sherrie” Strid and her husband, Willie, of Greenville, Randall L. “Rannie” McLellan and his wife, Linda, of Prentiss, Kim L. “Kimmie” Khiel of Meddybemps, Jay L. McLellan and his wife, Tammy, of Topsfield, David McLellan and his wife, Suk, of Shalimar, Fla., and Charles McLellan and his wife, Linda, of Princeton; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; his sister, Audrey Thornton and her husband, Vaughn, of Greenville; a special aunt, Ruby Andrews of Harwich, Mass.; his feline companion, Put; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield.
