KIRK HUGH HARRINGTON SANGERVILLE – Kirk Hugh Harrington, 55, died Sept. 9, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born Oct. 14, 1952, in Bangor, the middle son of Clarence “Hank” and Marjorie (Junck) Harrington. Kirk graduated from Dexter Regional High School in 1971. He worked for many years at local industries as well as for his family’s various businesses. A very creative and talented carpenter, he built several houses and camps. Kirk also was mechanically gifted, often fixing motors that others could not. His love of guns and cannons fueled his competitive spirit in his quest to be the one with the biggest and loudest source of thunderous noise in the neighborhood. Adventurous and seemingly fearless since birth, Kirk rarely passed up an opportunity that had the potential for excitement and danger – no matter how ill-fated it seemed to the rest of us. Kirk was predeceased by his grandparents, his parents; and his older brother, Karl. He is survived by his brother, Kennedy and his wife, Julie, of Parkman; a son, Luke and his wife, Christina, of Dexter and grandchildren, Collin of Dexter and Chrystopher of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Heather and her husband, Mike, of New Hampshire, Holly and her husband, Damien and grandchildren, Abigail and Noah, all of LaGrange, and Hope of Dexter; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Cristal, John and Neil. His humor and wit will be missed by many, but especially by close friends, Joan, Brian, Jody, Phil, Dana, Dale, David, Fred and their families. Kirk was a loyal and generous friend that was quick to lend a helping hand in times of need. The “Chronicles of Kirk” will be remembered and re-told for many years to come. Rest now without pain – life’s wild ride is over and you gave it all you had. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. Friends may call 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. For an online guest register, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com.
