BREWER, Maine — Bangor High School junior striker Eliza Estabrook collected her first high school hat trick Saturday after-noon. And it didn’t take very long.

Estabrook scored her three goals in the first 15 minutes as the Rams used an eight-goal first-half to cruise to a 10-1 schoolgirl soccer victory over Brewer.

Bangor improved to 2-1 while Brewer fell to 0-3.

Estabrook corralled a deflected cross by M.J. Boyce and ripped a 12-yarder under the crossbar just three minutes into the game. She chipped an-other Boyce pass into the net off the hands of Brewer goalie Hannah Simmons three minutes later, and she capped her hat trick by converting a Denali Graham pass at the 15-minute mark.

Shannon Brozyna and Kate Freudenberger extended the lead to 5-0 before Brewer’s Faith Thomas converted a breakaway.

Boyce scored from the penalty spot to make it 6-1 and goals by Hanna Colpritt and Jenny Leach closed out the half.

Jade Baumrind and Chelsea Pratt added second-half goals.

Bangor had 58 shots at goal to Brewer’s 13.

Kortnie Hudgens had one save on four shots in the first half for Bangor before fresh-man Mia Smith stopped five of nine shots in the second half.

Simmons made three saves and allowed four goals in the first half before Colleen Gilley came on and made three more while allowing the other four goals.

Simmons made 11 saves on 25 shots in the second half.
