MAPLETON – Aaron Piper, 35, died unexpectedly Sunday night, July 11, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident in Castle Hill. He was born Dec. 14, 1968, at Presque Isle, the son of Peter and Alice (Cain) Piper. Aaron worked as a long haul truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, liked to tease everyone, and was much loved by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lori Piper of Akron, Ohio; his mother and stepfather, Alice and Gordy Keiser of Mapleton; his father and stepmother, Peter and Cecile Piper of Gray; his maternal grandmother, Gladys Cain of Presque Isle; paternal grandmother, Waneta Piper of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Tammy Piper of Mapleton; a stepdaughter, Hailey Parsons Piper of Akron, Ohio; a stepbrother, Claude Martin of Columbia, S.C.; a stepsister, Christine Dowdy of St. Roberts, Mo.; a special nephew, Dylan Elliott; several other nieces and nephews; a friend, Elizabeth Gamblin Piper of Standish; and his dog and faithful companion, Desirae. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2004, at the funeral home with the Pastor Lucy Lovely officiating. Interment will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton.
