SURRY – Abigail Joan Hammond was born and entered into angel heaven Aug. 11, 2008, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born the daughter of Priscilla J. Smith and James A. Hammond of Surry. She is survived by her parents; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Karen Hammond of Hancock; maternal grandparents, Rod and Sue Eliason of Naples, Fla., and Russell and Cathy Smith of Surry; great-grandparents, Howard Morse, Priscilla L. Smith, Doris Ham-mond and Elizabeth Kilton; uncle, Kevin Hammond; aunts, Heather and husband, PJ, Laine, Erian and Amber and husband, Justin; and three cousins. She was predeceased by her uncle, Rusty Smith; great- grandmother, Joan Morse; and great-grandfathers, James C. Hammond and Ivan L. Smith. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. A reception will be held after the service at Arbutus Grange Hall, Surry.
