SHERMAN STATION – Achsa E. London, 95, Sherman Station, died Oct. 14, 2003, at her home. She was born Aug. 19, 1908, in Sherman Mills, the daughter of O.W. and Elsie (Metcalf) Sides. She was a cook at Stacyville Elementary for more than 20 years, a past member of the Molunkus Valley Chapter No. 95 OES, and a life-long resident of the Sherman area and enjoyed partridge hunting and fishing. She is survived by four children, Donna and her husband, Mace Rod Mckinney, of Sherman, Roanne Stoddard of Moses Lake, Wash., Barrymore and his wife, Doris London, of Chatom, Ala., and Theron (Kim) London of Sherman Station; nine grandchildren, Charles, Brian, Glenn, Pam, Darren, Corey and Danielle; 10 great-grandchildren, Bret, Amy, Ian, Angela, Rebecca, Beth, John, Kyle, Russell and Lucus; and three great-great-grandchildren, Macee, Clorice and Gavin; one sister-in-law, Barbara Sides of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Glenn London in 1978; one grandson, Roddy; one son-in-law, Dave Stoddard; one daughter-in-law, Dianne London; one sister, Julia Thomas; and six brothers, Gilbert, Montell, Dale, Freeland, Theron (Buster) and Clayton Sides. Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Friday at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rodger Good officiating.
