PRESQUE ISLE – Ada Carle Golder, 96, formerly of Fort Fairfield, died Monday evening, Nov. 19, 2007, at Madigan Estates, Houlton. She was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Knowlesville, New Brunswick, the daughter of Edward and Ada (Akley) Carle. Ada was employed for several years at A&P potato plant in Fort Fairfield. She was a member of Grant Memorial Methodist Church, Presque Isle. She was active in Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. She was predeceased by husband, Allen; a son, Cecil; and a daughter, Lois Golder Cyr. She is survived by two daughters, Julia Harrison and her husband, Thomas, of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and Darlene Gaines and her husband, Jim, of Kennesaw, Ga.; a son, Dale of Presque Isle; seven grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Grant Memorial Methodist Church with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
