BANGOR – Ada Mae Doble, 85, died Oct. 25, 2003, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 13, 1917, in Limestone, the daughter of Percy and Harriet Higgins. Ada grew up in Old Town and was a student nurse at Eastern Maine general Hospital where she met her husband, George. She was a member of the First Avenue Congregational Church where she was involved in the Senior Ladies Aid. Ada enjoyed braiding rugs and going out to coffee with her friends. She is survived by a son, Ralph Doble of Bangor; granddaughter, Tammy Doble of Bangor; a great-grand-daughter, Tasia Doble and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be graveside 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Maplewood Cemetery, Route No. 180, Clifton, with the Rev. Fred Dickinson Jr., pastor of the East Bangor Community church, officiating.
