MAPLETON – Addie M. Winslow, 93, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born May 15, 1912, in Caribou, the daughter of Bert and Carrie (Davis) McIntire. She moved to Mapleton where she met her late husband, Alvin F. Winslow. They were married 61 years before he passed away in 1990. Addie worked beside her husband on the family farm as a companion and helper. Addie was a member of the Eastern Star, Creasy Ridge Club, Eurika Grange of Mapleton, and the Mapleton Womens’ Extension. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Willard McIntire; and a sister, May Whitehouse. She is survived by three children, Carl and his wife, Wilma, Victor and his wife, Gloria, Marilee Smith and her husband, Sydney, all of Mapleton; grandchildren, Dena, Jeffrey, and Willie Winslow, Steven, Stuart and Stacey Smith, Todd, Frank, Lynwood, Bert, Alvin, Gene, Noah, and James Winslow; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-step-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two great-great-step-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Alvin Winslow officiating. Interment took place at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
