SUN LAKES, Ariz., and HAMPDEN – Adele Marie (Brecht) Merrill died Nov. 18, 2007. She was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Buffalo, N.Y. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and later her master’s degree from Wayne State University. She was a public school teacher for more than 25 years in Detroit and Utica, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Walter Merrill, earlier this year. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia of California; sons, Daniel of Maine and Thomas of New York; and sister, Joan (Brecht) Long of Detroit. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Virginia Fitzgerald, Dr. Georg L. Rymph and the staff and of Community Health and Counseling, and New England Home Health Services.
