CLIFTON – Agnes B. Belanger, 61, died March 11, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Portland, the daughter of Charles H. and Gwendolyn F. (Grindle) Beesley. Agnes worked as a parts manager for various auto supply stores, the last being Kelley Pontiac, Bangor. She was proud of the fact that she was the first licensed female auto inspection mechanic in Maine. She was an avid race fan who supported her partner in his racing. Agnes was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Brewer, American Legion Auxiliary, Ellsworth and the VFW Auxiliary, Old Town. Surviving in addition to her significant other and life partner, James Carr Jr. of Clifton; are two children, Candy Gray and her fianc?, Bob Smith Jr. of Brewer, and Tammy Saunders and her fianc?, Brent Parker of Clifton; stepparents, Donald Davis and Bunny Woodard of Orono; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and James Carr Sr. of Clifton; four grandchildren, Twila Hills and her fianc?, Dan Betts, of Orrington, Lynnette Saunders of Clifton, Christy Belanger and Alana Gray both of Brewer; three sisters-in-law, Rose Roz of New Hampshire, Patty Parent of Orrington and Alice Carlisle of Kingman; one brother-in-law, Joe Carr of Clifton; a cousin, David Sawyer of Eddington. She was predeceased by her parents; a grandson, James Belanger; and two brothers, Richard Dudley and Charles Tracey. She will be remember by two special friends, Kareen King of Brewer and Ivy Wahler of Clifton and many friends and relatives and she will be sadly missed by all. Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Sunday, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. A continued celebration will be held at 41 Getchell Road, Clifton, following the service. Burial will be in the spring at Maplewood Cemetery, Clifton.
