SOUTH WINDSOR, CONN. – Agnes (Cote) LeVasseur, 96, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at a Glasonbury, Conn., health center. She was the wife of the late Elie LeVasseur. She was born Nov. 26, 1908, in St. Andre, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Thomas and Harriet (Rossignol) Cote. She is survived by her daughters, Beatrice Violette of Bangor, Jeanne Phipps of South Windsor, Conn.; her seven grandchildren, Dan Phipps of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Mary Gebhart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Judy Deleeuw of Chester, Conn., Norma Jean Brown of Azusa, Calif., Catherine Violette of Dover, N.H., Mark Violette of Knoxville, Tenn., and Lisa Norsworthy of Bangor. She also leaves 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Elaine Phipps; her siblings, Ozime Cote, Fred Cote, Annie Rioux and Eva Bishop. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 26, in St. Christopher Church, Brewer Street, East Hartford, Conn. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
