MACHIAS – Agnes Louise (Warren) Dinsmore, 101, wife of the late Walter Dinsmore, passed away Oct. 13, 2004, at Marshall Health Care Facility in Machias. She was born Oct. 3, 1903, in Cutler, the daughter of George Frost and Mary Elise (Shea) Warren. Agnes graduated from Washington Academy in East Machias in 1921 and taught school in Northfield, Maine for one year, prior to working for the law firm of C.B. & E.C. Donworth for several years. She was also employed as a secretary for the Machias Lumber Company and later worked at the Colonial Theater in Machias until it closed in 1978. She was a member of the Centre Street Congregational Church, and served as president of the church guild for three years. She also served as troop leader for the Machias Girl Scouts for two years. She was an active member of the Hannah Weston Chapter of the D.A.R., serving as Regent for three years. She is survived by one daughter, Julia Bellefontaine and husband, Eric, of Lenox, Mass. and Northfield; two grandchildren, Mrs. Brian (Danna) Snow of Lee, Mass. and Eric N. Bellefontaine II and wife, Kelly, of Pittsfield, Mass.; four great-grandchildren, Jon-athan, Benjamin, Katrina, and Daniel Snow, all of Lee, Mass.; brother-in-law, Charles Dins-more and wife, June, of Machias; two nieces, Barbara Maloy of Machiasport and Mrs. Wayne (Rebecca) Johnson of Portland. She was predeceased by a brother, Sam Warren of Florida; and sisters, Mrs. Mabel Talbot of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., and Mrs. Evelyn Carroll of Machiasport. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 6 Cooper St., Machias. The Rev. Dr. Francois Akoa will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church Hill Cemetery in Machiasport. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the Activities Fund at the Marshall Health and Rehab Facility, 9 Beal St., Machias, ME 04654.
