SURRY – Alan R.L. Kane, 41, died Dec. 30, 2006, at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born Feb. 24, 1965, in Presque Isle, the son of Roger E. and Jean M. (Howlett) Kane. Alan was a member of the Surry Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents of Surry; two brothers, Roger R. Kane and wife, Joyce, of Portland and Larish Kane and wife, Susan, of Milton, N.H.; two sisters, Barbara Kurr and partner, Wilmot Benjamin, of Easton and Nancy Charette and husband, Daniel, of Mapleton; seven nieces and nephews, four great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at the Surry United Methodist Church, Surry. Interment will be in the spring at North Bend Cemetery, Surry.
