WALLAGRASS – Aldrie Daigle, 86, died Oct. 20, 2007, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Eagle Lake, the son of Alderic Daigle Sr. and Rose Anna (Clavette) Daigle. Aldrie worked for the state of Maine as a produce inspector for 36 1/2 years, until he retired in 1981. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Wallagrass. He was a gentle and kind man to those who knew him well. He enjoyed his camp and fishing, and he really enjoyed playing bingo. Aldrie was predeceased by his wife, Juliette (Lozier) Daigle in 1994; and his only son, Donald Daigle in 2004. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Francoise Daigle of Fort Kent; granddaughter, Melanie Baker of Texas; his very special niece, Sandra Martin of Fort Kent; a very special fri-end, Bernadette Daigle of Fort Kent; many other nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no call hours at the funeral home. Friends are asked to attend a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Soldier Pond, with the Rev. Robert Bouchard officiating. Committal service will be after at the parish cemetery. Those who wish may donate in his memory to Diabetes Care Fund, Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or at the church. Arrangements are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
