ORIENT- Alex Lasky, 90, a local artist, passed away March 5, 2006, in Orient. He was born March 31, 1915, in Trenton, N.J., the son of Fedor and Eva (Titunek) Lasky. He grew up in Morrisville Pa., where he met and married (1937-2003) his late wife of 66 years, Rosella. Alex was a Navy veteran serving in 1944, participating in heavyweight boxing where he won two titles at Camp Bradford, Va. He was a baker for 42 years, a well-known football coach of many undefeated seasons from 1936-1972 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Alex is still remembered today by all the athletes from years gone by. He always had time for those who wanted to learn whether it be sports, art or life in general. Later in life he was an artist with many of his pictures in doctors offices. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Lamach and her husband, Paul, of Orient; a son, Edgar Lasky and his wife, Doris, of Levittown, Pa.; a grandson, James Lasky and his wife, Cathy, of Levittown, Pa.; a granddaughter, Holly Bernie and Bill of Yardley, Pa.; a great-grandson, Jonathan Lasky; and great-grand-daughter, Stacy Lasky, also of Levittown, Pa.; a sister, Mary Antolino of Levittown, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
