MADAWASKA – Alexander Joseph Comeau, 89, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born July 1, 1917, in Pokemouche, New Brunswick, the son of Joseph and Emilie (Robert) Comeau. After high school, Alec served in the Canadian Army for eight years. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Ange (Bouchard) Comeau; and four daughters, Joyce, wife of Linwood Crosby of St. Agatha, Judy, wife of Ronald Gardella of Schednectady, N.Y., Carol, wife of Mike Bonneau of Montreal, Quebec, and Mary, wife of Luc Morin of Madawaska. He was a grandpa to six grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Marc, Melanie, Amber and predeceased by little Jeb. He was a proud great-grandfather to Maryane. Alec leaves behind two sisters and two brothers, Marie Louise, Elizabeth, Eugene and Gerald. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Issac and Xavier. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews. A humble man, he leaves us with his love of life… his legacy… and his good name. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call at Daigle Funeral Home 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of service. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
