PRINCETON – Alfred Farquharson, 86, died March 27, 2008, at Calais Regional Hospital. He was born June 3, 1921, in Spencer, Mass., the son of Walter G. and Evelyn M. (Gagnon) Farquharson. Fred was a veteran, having served during World War II with the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and loved woodworking. Fred is survived by his wife, Mamie of Princeton; son, Kevin and his wife, Connie, of Calais; beloved grandson, Derek Farquharson of Princeton; brother, Robert and his wife, Julie, of Massachusetts; sister, Lorraine May of New York; four grandchildren, Chris and Jason of Florida, Junior of South Carolina, and a special granddaughter, Cindy Pecori of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews.
