ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Alice B. Libby, 97, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Wednesday May 12, 2004, at College Harbor Retirement Community. Born in Mars Hill, she came to this area in 1965 from Bath, Maine. She was a superintendent of the military and naval children’s home for the State of Maine. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. Survivors include two sons, Blair of Gulfport, Fla., and Robert of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Jean Ann Johnstone of Limerick; a sister, Barbara Homer of Augusta; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grand-children; and six great-great-grandchildren.
