CARIBOU – Alma K.G. Sherwood, 83, passed away April 12, 2006. She was born Sept. 29, 1922, in California Settlement, New Brunswick, Canada and was the daughter of Eliza (Hamilton) and Gordon Donovan. She was predeceased by husbands, Vaughn Gallagher and Austin Sherwood; daughter, Marla R. Wark; son, Robert H. Gallagher; five brothers, Buel, Elmer, Lemual, Hayden and Gerald; and one sister, Vera. She is survived by one son, Stephen Gallagher of Caribou; one daughter, Sue Simpson of Addison, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Kelly Gallagher of Germany, Bryon Wark of Plainville, Conn., Beth LaBella of Plainville, Conn., Gayle Simpson of Addison, N.Y., and Andrew Cooper of Caribou, two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Alexander LaBella of Plainville, Conn.; one sister, Velma J. DeMerchant of Bradford, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Fairfield, later in the spring. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
