MADAWASKA – Alphie Dionne, 71, died Oct. 15, 2004, at a Madawaska nursing home. He was born July 19, 1933, in St. David, the son of Eddie and Annie (Levesque) Dionne. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147 of Madawaska, and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2638 of Madawaska. He is survived by his wife, Germaine (Corriveau) Dionne of Madawaska; four sons, Michael and his wife, Carol, and Ken and his wife, Odette, all of St. David, James and his wife, Sharon, of Grand Isle, and Paul and his special companion, Tammy, of St. Agatha; one daughter, Karen Chasse and her husband, Rodney, of Madawaska; three brothers, Fernand Dionne and his wife, Theresa, of St. David, Joel Dionne and his wife, Debbie, of Windsor Locks, Conn., John Dionne and his wife, Pam, of East Hartford, Conn.; four sisters, Angela Marquis and her husband, Peter, of Sabastian, Fla., Therese Jalbart of Edmundston, N.B., Canada, Jackie Duperre and her husband, Bertin, of Madawaska, Constance Doucette and her husband, Guy, of East Hartford, Conn.; 12 special grandchildren, Sarah, Heather, Matthew, Hannah, Haley, Jason, Amy, Holly, Desiree, Nathalie, Andrew and Ryan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Edward Dionne. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
