REED PLANTATION – Alric W. Hamilton, 93, died May 24, 2007, at Madigan Estates Nursing Facility. He was born July 5, 1913, in Reed Plantation, the son of Albert Fulton and Mary (Pearson) Hamilton. He graduated from Wytopitlock High School in 1933. He worked as a scaler/paymas-ter and woodsman for most of his life. After retirement he did carpenter work for a select few. He loved the woods and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his good friends, Raymond Hanington, Milo Gray and Bill Sullivan. He had many friends. In his heart, Wytopitlock was always home. He was a 60-year member of the Baskahegan Lodge No. 175. He was a special husband, dad, stepdad and the world’s greatest grandfather. He was predeceased by two sons, Roger Alric and James Gary Hamilton; two sisters, Hazel Mitchell and Isla Connelly; three brothers, Clarence, Harry and Walter Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Hamilton; five stepchildren, Bernard and Roger Austin, Beatrice Clendeming, Wanda Avery and Lynda Knights; one stepgranddaughter, Jessica Knights. He will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren and their spouses, Roger and Judy Hamilton of Wysox, Pa., Robin and Tony Simone of Bangor, Robert and Suzanne Hamilton of Palmyra, Rhonda Hamilton of Bangor, Theresa Brooks of Seminole, Fla., and Terrance and Penelope Hamilton of Wyalusing, Pa. He has nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, sev-eral nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no funeral.
