FORT KENT and BRADLEY Alva Thibeault, 71, died unexpectedly Aug. 6, 2008, in Greenbush. He was born Dec. 20, 1936, in Frenchville, the son of Telesphore and Regina (Roy) Thibeault. Alva married Jaqueline Gorneault in August 1958. Alva spent most of his life living in the Bradley area. He worked as a woodsman in the logging industry until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending his time in the great outdoors. He also enjoyed playing the lottery and doing odd jobs. Alva was predeceased by his wife, Jaqueline; his grandson, Galen Jr.; and brothers, Albert Thibeault, Adrian Thibeault, Alton Thibeault, Armond Thibeault, Alear Thibeault and Wilford Thibeault. He is survived by his son, Galen and wife, Sandy, of Greenbush; one sister, Jeanette Daniels of Fort Kent; grandchildren, Gary and his wife, Katie, Gail and her significant other, Jon, and Greg and his significant other, Jen; and great- grandchildren, Elizabeth and Grayson Thibeault. Alva is also survived by his special friend, Tammy. Alva was loved and will be sadly missed by all. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town. Interment will be held immediately after at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town.
