MILFORD – Betty (Thibodeau) Campbell, 80, passed away Aug. 7, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 19, 1928, in Bangor, the daughter of Ross and Hilda Thibodeau. She was employed at Viner Shoe and Bass Shoe for several years. Betty was a member of Holy Family Parish, Old Town. She enjoyed going to yard sales and was known for her knitting of sweaters and afghans that she shared with many. Surviving are her brother, William Thibodeau and his wife, Anne, of Bangor; her daughter, Nancy Balles and her husband, George “Mike,” of Port Orchard, Wash.; her son, Clarence McLain and his wife, Allison, of Waterville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Campbell, in 2003. A specials thanks to Lisa and Tracey for their kindness and love to “Miss Betty.” A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Riverside Cemetery, Orono, with the Rev.
