MADAWASKA – Alvine Baron, 99, died March 31, 2007, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born May 22, 1907, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Alsime and Laura (Saucier) Saucier. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Baron and his wife, Joan, and Alban Baron and his wife, Jackie, all of Madawaska; two daughters, Fern Cormier and her husband, Leon, of Southington, Conn., and Mavis Michaud of Caribou; two brothers, Andrew Saucier of Connecticut and Fernando Saucier and his wife, Mary Anne, of Florida; three sisters, Rose Peasecki and Germaine Saucier, both of Fort Kent and Marie Ange Duclo of Connecticut; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Baron; three brothers, Camille, Alcide and Hubert Saucier; and one sister, Audelie Vaillancourt. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening and 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be the parish cemetery later in the spring.
