HOWLAND – Alyre Aldo Thibodeau, 83, husband of Merle (Littlefield) Thibodeau, died Feb. 10, 2004, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. He was born July 7, 1920, in Seigas, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of George and Marie Thibodeau. Alyre was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a fourth degree Knight. He loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Merle, he is survived by two sons, Ronald Thibodeau and his wife Joyce, of West Enfield and Robert Thibodeau of Patten; one daughter, Claudette Dube and her husband, Theo, of Florida; five stepsons, Michael Heath and his wife, Ruth, of Brownville, Joel Heath and his wife, Sue, of Houlton, Kevin Heath and his friend, Ellen, of West Enfield, Eddie Heath and his wife, Sheila, of Monticello and Jeff Heath of South Carolina; three brothers, Aurelle Thibodeau of Milford, Conday Thibodeau and Alban Thibodeau, both of Caribou; three sisters, Lorette Violette of St. Leonard, N.B., Edberge Coco and Adelaide Gagnon, both of New Hampshire; 29 grandchildren; 23 great-grand-children; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clauda; a son, Raymond; a daughter, Raymonde; a sister, Cecile Dube; a brother, Robert Thibodeau; and a grandson, Ronald Thibodeau Jr. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Howland, with the Rev. Andre Houle officiating. Spring interment will be in West Enfield cemetery.
