CARMEL – Alysia May Brown, 3, died unexpectedly June 11, 2006, at her home in Carmel. She was born Jan. 20, 2003, in Bangor, the daughter of Jimmy L. and Shannon M. (McCoy) Brown. Alysia loved her Care Bears, enjoyed riding her bike, playing with the family dog, Henley, cheering on her favorite baseball team, the Red Sox, spending time with her brother and sister and gardening with her mom. She especially enjoyed her Saturday morning trips with her dad to her favorite store, Home Depot, followed by treats at Dunkin Donuts. Alysia’s endearing smile touched the hearts of many and will forever be a part of our lives. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her parents of Carmel; her sister, Courtney Lyn Braley, and her brother, Donald Lee Braley Jr., both of Carmel; maternal grandparents, Patrick and Nancy McCoy of Orrington; paternal grandmother, Connie Brown of Holden; maternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Theresa Osborne of East Millinocket and Cleora McCoy of Orrington; paternal great-grandparents, Betty Blackburn of West Virginia and Eleanor Brown of Bangor; aunts and uncles, Patrick McCoy Jr. and his fianc?e, Cassie LaBree, of North Berwick, Christopher and Meagan McCoy of Krum, Texas, Heather McCoy and her boyfriend, Ted Bossie, of Bangor, Dan Brown and his wife, Misty, of Granite Falls, N.C., Angela Brown and her boyfriend; and Alysia’s special friend, Jason Moore of Freeport; cousins, Emily, Devin, Taryn and Marek; aunts and uncles, Tammie and Barry Leland of Orrington, Bobby and Tracy Gray and their children, Madyson and Morgan, Karen Collins and Kevin Chessa and their son, Zach; and special friends, Donald Braley Sr., Teresa Pinkham and Megan. She will be remembered by Grammie Linda and Pappa Joe and her friends at daycare. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Philip Brown Jr. Family and friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the East Orrington Congregational Church, 38 Johnson Mill Rd., Orrington, with the Rev. Carl Schreiber, interim pastor, presiding. Burial will be at Marston Cemetery, Orrington. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Alysia’s life at the church center after the service.
