MADAWASKA – Andre Cyr, 89, died Jan. 14, 2005, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born June 5, 1915, in St. David, the son of Joseph and Anne (Cormier) Cyr. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2638 of Madawaska. For 27 years, he and his wife organized religious pilgrimages to Cap de Madelein at Trois Rivieres, P.Q., Canada. He is survived by one son, Leon Cyr and his wife, June, of Madawaska; four daughters, Dorina Beaulieu and her husband, Gene, of Grand Isle, Linda Lausier and her husband, Daniel, of Scarborough, Nancy Michaud and her husband, Joel and Brenda Dubay and her husband, Daniel, all of Madawaska; one sister, Agathe Beaupre of Connecticut; nine grandchildren, Steve Cyr, Lee and Gina Beaulieu, Tracy and Liza Michaud, Sara Caldwell, and Ricky, Dana and Randy Dubay; three great-grandchildren, Craig Cyr, Chandler Caldwell and Olivia Dubay. He was predeceased by his wife, Normande (Corbin) Cyr; two brothers, Roland and Leon Cyr; and by one grandson, Ross Lausier. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the St. David Church. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. There will be no public visitations at the funeral home on Monday prior to the funeral services. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
